Steps to Create the Moss Stitch
- Start with a chain of any number of stitches.
- Work the first row in single crochet stitches.
- Skip one stitch and work the next stitch in single crochet.
- Repeat this pattern until the end of the row.
- Turn the work.
- Chain one and single crochet into the first stitch.
- Skip one stitch and single crochet in the next stitch.
- Repeat this pattern until the end of the row.
- Repeat steps 5-8 until the desired length is reached.
Finishing
When you’ve reached the desired length, fasten off the yarn and weave in the ends. Congratulations, you’ve just completed the moss stitch!
